In this life we have excuses. Excuses for everything. Why? Because we're lazy. Admit it. We humans are lazy when we want to do something that doesn't motivate us.
Now let's get into the topic of exercise. Why is it so hard for us to try to get into shape? I am always hearing excuses, "I'm too busy", "I have kids", "I'm married", "I'm too tired" and the list goes on and on.

Then we have the complaints. "I'm too fat", "I have a gut", "I need to stop eating", and this list goes on and on.
Then we have the miracle products, all those infomercial pills, fad diets, and things that are supposed to do the work for you.

And lastly, we have the new years resolutions that we know only last a few months and you know who ends up winning? The fitness centers as this is when they make their money! They make their money off people that make the year commitment to pay them but never attend the gym.
Let me give you my story. I have the opposite problem of an overweight person. I'm a 32 year old man, 5'8 tall, thin, 155 lbs. That's my ideal weight for my height. But I was no where near in shape as I would of loved to be. I got tired of being skinny and scrawny so I decided to do something about it. For the passed 9 months (since Feb 2008) I have been hitting the gym. Every day with a few days of rest in between but I have made working out part of my routine, like washing clothes or making food. In 9 months of weight lifting I have improved on how much I can lift and with that comes a very toned body. I am still not where I want to be but I am very satisfied with my body. I see a difference in my body. This all happened because I am not chasing "magic pills" and "fad diets" or gimmick gym products. All these advertised products give the impression that if you just stick to this you you can just lay there living the same lifestyle and the pounds will magically disappear. People WAKE up. There is NO magic diet!! Get off your lazy bon bon eating ass and get active! MOVE!! Do something. Sure you can still do the fad diets but exercise should be in order!
Most people wouldn't even complain about what they eat if they kept a constant exercise program. Take me for instance, I cannot gain weight to save my life, but I never know when my body is going to quit and let me gain tons of weight. My with my constant exercise program, I never fear about eating the wrong things and gaining weight because I know my exercise will take care of that.
Stop making new years resolutions and do something about it NOW! Don't wait till after the holidays to start. If you start now, then you can eat almost anything meanwhile you know you're burning fat by hitting the gym. And not saying to eat ANYTHING. Eat what you eat in moderation, then start altering what you eat. But when the times comes to eat for celebrations or holidays you wont feel guilty because you know you're burning at the gym. And once you hit your ideal weight it is NOT time to quit. This is the time where you maintain the healthy weight!

How many times have you heard (ESPECIALLY WOMEN) I need to lose weight to fit into this dress for (insert occasion here)?

If you kept exercising you would NOT need to cram exercise! Motivate yourself, do something about it. Stop being jealous of your sexy fine ass co- worker that looks like this:

And don't be mad when your man eyes other women that look like that. If you want your man to just look at you, have pride in yourself and don't let yourself go! Same goes to men, stop looking like slobs and get back in shape! Have pride in yourself! Do something about it! There IS no easy or fast solution. It's going to take some time but if you keep at it, you will see results and you will feel so much better about yourself!
